Hi Parents and Students readers,

This might be an interesting blogpost where both of parties can understand the reason for choosing a certain location and time for studying. Please do note that these are suggestions that we believed works best for students in preparing for their revision, but it differs in performance in casde-by-case basis.

In Accelerated Learning Technologies, one of the most crucial part is on Focus Learning. You will need to devote time and energy to concentrate and focus on your studying.

Dear Students and Parents,

GCE O Level Examination is just 2 months away and many Singapore students might have finished their Preliminary Examinations. There are still a group of students that will only start their Preliminary Examinations in 2 weeks time and unfortunately, based on their schools’ planning, it will eat into their September 1 week holiday. For those that have not done well for their Prelims, hang-on there! Keep Your Faith & Keep The Fighting Spirit Going - it is not your final marks for GCE O Level. There is still time for you to find the effective method to achieve grades that your truly deserved. And for those that are sitting for Prelims in 2 weeks time, revise well. It wont be easy but you can do it! Keep motivating yourself!!!!

Halo everyone,

Over last few years, many students that i spoke to always complaint to me about Mole Calculations. Parents that called up to ask for help in Chemistry for their child always never failed to mention that their child cannot understand and score the “Calculation part of Chemistry“.

Several months ago, we decided to start a poll/survey for readers of this chemistry blogsite to investigate on the biggest challenge that students faces in learning chemistry. Months later, we have more than 100 polls on their biggest challenge, and this exclude those that read this blog, but did not do their polling. There are certainly thousands and millions of students that do not know this chemistry blogsite yet. I certainly would like to know how they feel about it. Do feel free to forward this blogsite for their learning.

How to Design & Deliver Your Presentations using PowerPoints That Sizzle!

I have been presenting and coaching for many years (formally and informally). Many people ask me what is the best form of presenting to grab the audience’s attention and to achieve the end results that we aim for.

My answer is always: ” Every form of presentations has its own merits and downsides, but all can be used to achieve your final aim. The most important thing is to determine your group audience and the purpose of your presentations. For coaching sessions where i want my students to absorb faster and more effectively, i would use Flip-Charts and Whiteboards. Especially for Flip-Charts, which is required for Accelerated Learning Techniques. But for generating ideas across to the audience where visuals are very important - i will use PowerPoint Presentations.”

This afternoon i was at the cinema to catch the Dark Knight (after being recommended to me by my students).

I must say that this is the best action superhero film I have seen this year. Not only it has lots of exciting battle scenes, special mention must be given to the late Heath Ledger, whose acting role in the movie as the psychopath Joker, which I feel, has far surpassed batman. Not only has he showed us how a psychopath acts, every area of how a psychopath thinks and feels, he has carried it out very well. Hmm. This is not a website to review movies, so i would just say that this is one of the greatest movie this year, and it combines good cinematography, writings, plots, actions, sound effects and excellent actings. The movie shows love, humanity, good over evil & power of psychology.

Today i received 2 phonecalls  early in the morning. They are awesome calls that makes my day!

Want to learn about Metals & Reactivity Series in an interactive way? that is different from the Powerpoint slides used in schools?

I will be coming out with a series of videos to show you how Chemistry Theories are linked to everyday life.
We believe by using such ASSOCIATION Method, it will accelerate your learning process.
Our aim is to ensure that you learn Chemistry effectively and efficiently, and the theories will stay with you for life (if not, for very very long in a natural way).

In the video below, you will see me checking out my neighbourhood to find examples of Corrosion of some metals.

In schools, you have learnt about the 3 States of Matter - Solid, Liquid & Gas. You have also learnt about the physical processes that changes one state to another. e.g. Melting, Evaporation, Boiling, Condensation, Freezing, etc..

Sublimation is a very special physical process which changes the solid state directly into the gaseous state without going through Melting process (i.e. without going through the liquid state).

In this video, we share with you one of the everyday life examples that such Chemistry Phenomenons are observed.

Interesting and controversial way to relate chemistry to everyday lifes and hearings.
